How to place ads that generate more revenue

Advertising revenue does not only depend on the number of blocks. It depends above all on the search intention, reading comfort, mobile and strict compliance with the rules of the platform used.

1. Understand what really influences RPM

Locations aren't everything. Commercial traffic, a page that responds well to an intention and readable content often have more impact than a site overloaded with ads. RPM varies by country, niche, format, intent and season.

Measure pages that attract comparison or decision intent.
Compare mobile and desktop instead of looking at an overall average.
Track RPM, playback time and bounce rate at the same time.

2. Use visible areas without breaking playback

The formats that perform best are often those that appear in a natural reading flow. This doesn't mean stacking blocks everywhere. A strong location above the fold, another in a long article and a last one at the end of the content are often enough to test properly.

Test an ad close to the introduction without drowning out the first paragraph.
Adapt mobile spacing to avoid layout breaks.
Limit the number of blocks to maintain a credible editorial density.

3. Speed, confidence and compliance matter as much as placement

A slow or confusing page lowers advertising value as much as it harms the user. To monetize properly, you need stable pages, visible legal notices, healthy navigation and no artificial incentives to click. The best income over time comes from a clear site, not an aggressive site.

Reduce unnecessary scripts and monitor CLS on mobile.
Show conditions, privacy and contact in a simple way.
Respect advertising policies rather than seeking artificial clicks.
