The VPS lost its network after a modification

Restore interface, address, route and DNS from noVNC without multiple restarts.

An incorrect address, renamed interface, or deleted default route cuts SSH immediately. noVNC allows you to correct the configuration from the inside.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Open noVNC

    Do not restart in a loop. Connect locally and run ip -br addr then ip route.

  2. Identify the interface

    Locate eth0, ens18 or the active name. Compare it to the file in /etc/network/interfaces or to Netplan.

  3. Restore temporarily

    Add the address and route only with the values displayed by the panel or provided by support.

  4. Make persistent

    Correct the network manager used then test a new SSH session before restarting.
