How do I back up and restore my Minecraft server?
Create a consistent archive, download it and restore after a clean shutdown.
A backup protects the world, plugins and configuration. Regularly download a copy and keep it outside the panel.
Step-by-step procedure
-
Prepare the data
Send save-all in the console and, if possible, stop the server before an important backup.
-
Create the backup
Open Backups, give it a clear name and wait for the archive to finish.
-
Download a copy
Keep a local backup or in external storage before a migration or version change.
-
Restore
Stop the server, choose the backup, then confirm the restore. Current files may be overwritten.
-
Check after startup
Check the world, plugins and logs before reopening the server to players.
Destructive restore
Changes made after the backup date are lost.
